Valencia are expected to make a concrete offer for Dinamo Zagreb defender Sime Vrsaljko.
Los Che have maintained contact with Dinamo over the young stopper since the end of last season.
Vrsaljko is now attracting enquiries from Manchester City, which is expected to kick Valencia into action next month.
The 19 year-old is now in his third season of senior football at Dinamo.
