Valencia have been caught up in the alleged match-fixing scandal involving Eldense.

Among the Eldense players questioned after the 12-0 defeat to Barcelona B last weekend was Maiki Fernández.

Fernandez is on-loan at Eldense from Valencia and still has two years to run on his contract. Los Che coach Voro says they're standing by the youngster, though if he is found guilty his contract will be terminated.

Interestingly, it's been revealed Fernandez actually rejected a contract offer from Barcelona after successful trials and spent his junior days with Real Madrid.
