After welcoming midfield signings Hedwiges Maduro (Ajax) and Ever Banega (Boca Juniors) in the last week, Koeman has been told by Valencia he cannot sign anyone else until they get his shunned trio off the books.

Santiago Canizares, David Albelda and Miguel Angel Angulo remain Valencia players, though are no longer part of Koeman's squad. DiarioSport says the board are reluctant to press on with their transfer plans until they find clubs for the veteran trio.
