Valencia are on the brink of closing a deal for Getafe striker Roberto Soldado.

AS says Mestalla insiders are convinced Valencia will announce Soldado's signing in the next 48 hours.

Valencia president Manuel Llorente is closing an agreement with Getafe for around €8 million for the prolific striker, who declared last week his preference was to join Los Che this summer.
