Valencia to bid for Espanyol keeper Kameni

New Valencia sports chief Xabier Azkargorta is ready to launch a bid for Espanyol goalkeeper Carlos Kameni.

After being priced out of a deal for Real Mallorca No1 Miguel Angel Moya, Valencia are planning to offer £5 million for Cameroon international Kameni, says Sport.

Espanyol are ready to do business, particularly with management now convinced new keeper signing Cristian Alvarez, formerly of Rosario Central, can comfortably step into Kameni's shoes for the new season.
