Valencia and Benfica are early contenders to lure Manchester City boss Sven Goran Eriksson away from England.
The Telegraph says while it is unlikely the Swede will quit before the end of the season, relations have broken down so badly with City chairman Thaksin Shinawatra it seems inconceivable that he will stay beyond that point.
Valencia, who sacked their manager, Ronald Koeman, earlier this month, are known to be keen to tempt Eriksson to Spain, while a return to Benfica, where he enjoyed two previous spells as manager, would also be a possibility should he decide to sever his ties with City.
