Valencia are set to trump Atletico Madrid for PSV Eindhoven defender Carlos Salcido.
The experienced centre-half is preparing to quit PSV at the end of this season and it was expected he'd join fellow Mexican Javier Aguirre at Atletico.
However, Mexico sources this week say Valencia are now favourites to land Salcido ahead of the summer market.
