Valencia are attempting to strike terms with Sevilla over goalkeeper Andre Palop.
Los Che chiefs are finding Sevilla president Jose Maria del Nido a difficult negotiator and may be forced to switch their sights elsewhere.
Indeed, Valencia's board have given themselves 48 hours to agree terms over Palop, or they will move for Mallorca keeper Miguel Angel Moya.
