Valencia chief Fernando Gomez has held talks with the agent of Wolfsburg defender Ricardo Costa.

Alarmed by reports that Ricardo will move to Lille on-loan to the end of the season, Gomez sought assurances over the player's Bosman plans.

Ricardo has already declared he wants a move to Valencia and Gomez is keen to make that happen in June.

The Valencia director, says AS, was assured that the defender's move to Lille will only last for six months and is designed specifically so he can stay in the World Cup plans of Portugal coach Carlos Queiroz.
