Antonio Valencia scored on his Manchester United debut as the Reds defeated Boca Juniors 2-1 in the Audi Cup semi-finals at the Allianz Arena. United dominated the first period and took the lead in the 23rd minute with a brilliant free kick from Anderson.

This advantage was doubled just before the break when debutant Valencia surged past two players before firing home.

Boca came back after the break and pulled a goal back through Federico Insua but United held out for a deserved win.

The Red Devil's victory means they will play in Saturday's final against the winners of the second semi between hosts Bayern Munich and Milan.
