Real Madrid GM Jorge Valdano insists they can be happy with a point from their 0-0 draw at Osasuna.

Real Madrid failed to take advantage of Barcelona's stumble to remain two points behind the Liga leaders.

But Valdano says: "It was an intense game, with sometimes more clear chances in the second half. We could have won, but it was too risky to impose our game on this match. This opponent demands a lot because their players put in a lot of effort.

"In the second half we had chances, but could not open the scoring.

"We must show our personality and we have to impose our game at our own pace. The team has delivered, there is nothing to criticize. There will be time to catch the leader."
