The rift between Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho and general manager Jorge Valdano has reopened.
Mourinho has taken issue with comments made by Valdano made after victory over Getafe.
Speaking about Mourinho's absence from media conferences, Valdano said: "Mourinho has decided to step aside until the decibels around him quiet down."
But Mourinho's spokesman Eladio Parames, responded forcefully: "Valdano is the spokesman for the club, but to my knowledge is not the spokesman for Mourinho. He is flatly wrong when he says that Mourinho stepped sideways to lower the noise. Mourinho is prepared to make noise at the right time and to speak unequivocally. "
