Former Socceroo Scott Chipperfield is of the belief that Tommy Oar and Tom Rogic are the future of Australian football.
FC Utrecht winger Oar has been impressive in a few of his seven international outings since debuting in 2010 whilst Celtic attacking midfielder Rogic is developing nicely and Chipperfield suggests they should soon be thrown into the fray in order to bring some freshness to the Socceroos line-up.
"I have liked what I've seen from Oar and Rogic for a while now and they deserve more game time," he told SBS.
"Some of the younger players have maybe shown they are not quite good enough yet, but these two have something about them."
