Utrecht dismiss link with Aberdeen boss Calderwood

Utrecht have rubbished rumours linking Aberdeen boss Jimmy Calderwood to their vacant managerial post, reports The Scotsman. Calderwood, who played and coached in Holland, claimed that agents there have put his name forward for the job.

But Utrecht chairman Jan-Willem van Dop has denied this.

He said: "I don't know where the rumours about Jimmy came from. But he has certainly never been in the picture for Utrecht."
