Usain Bolt: I could be as good as Man Utd captain Rooney!

Usain Bolt believes he could be a top quality footballer.

The world champion sprinter, who is a renowned Manchester United fan, is soon set to train with German giants Borussia Dortmund.

The Jamaican feels that with some training, he could end up being as good as United skipper Wayne Rooney.

"I've always wanted to try play football so that's in the pipeline, we'll see what happens," he said after winning Sportsman of the Year at the Laureus World Sports Award on Tuesday night.

"I'm going to get a chance to train at Dortmund which is good.

"I think I'm going to go there for a week and just to train and feel it out.

"I've had people suggest different teams or ways we could get into football so we've been looking into those things but were not sure what's going on yet.

"But at any level, I just want to see if I'd be any good, because I play football all the time with my friends and I think I'm at a good level.

"If I train and put some good work in I think I could be pretty good.

"I'm not gonna say I'm going to be the best footballer in the world. But I'd be at a good level, I'd say. Maybe Wayne Rooney level."
