Former Miami FC defender Gale Agbossoumonde has commenced a two-week trial with Swedish Allsvenskan outfit Djurgardens IF.

The USA U20 national team star, who has made one senior international appearance, is pursuing a contract in Europe and is hoping that he can sign a deal with the Stockholm club.

Djurgardens rate the 19-year old Togo-born player highly but are uncertain whether or not they will bring him into their squad.

Agbossoumonde was awarded the best young male player of 2010 by the US Soccer Federation late last year.
