Jermaine Jones was content with Schalke's 1-1 draw with Galatasaray in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

The USA international scored his side's equaliser just before half-time after Burak Yilmaz opened the scoring in the 12th minute at Turk Telekom Arena in Istanbul and indicated the Germans now have every chance of getting a winning result in Gelsenkirchen on March 12.

"We're absolutely satisfied. We made a few mistakes, for example the goal we conceded was an invitation, but overall, we played a very good game and rightfully grabbed a point," he told ZDF.

"I think we've earned us a good amount of respect in the first half. They knew they were not able to open up the game, because it would have enabled us to finish our counters."
