USA national team captain Carlos Bocanegra says his side has a great chance to avenge their early exit from the 2006 World Cup.
Team USA need a win against Algeria in their final Group C match to progress to the Round of 16 and the opportunity is not lost on Bocanegra who admits their performance in Germany was disappointing.
"Obviously we had a bad outing in 2006, and we're not happy with how things worked out. We have a great chance tomorrow night to get a win and advance on to the second round," he said.
"It's important for us because we had that disappointment in '06. It's not really extra motivation but it's in the back of our minds that we worked so hard and trained for so long for the World Cup, and it can be over so quickly if you don't advance. Those things sit in the back of our minds a little bit."
