USA's Klinsmann looking forward to South Korea test

USA boss Juergen Klinsmann feels his players will be tested against South Korea when the two nations meet on Saturday.

The US, who are wrapping up a training camp in Sao Paulo, Brazil, host the Taeguk Warriors in California in a friendly as they continue their preparations for the 2014 World Cup.

On Saturday, South Korea beat fellow World Cup qualifiers Costa Rica 1-0 in Los Angeles and Klinsmann is now expecting a difficult show when his majority of MLS players grace the field against Hong Myung-bo's largely K-League group.

"Now, in a World Cup year against an opponent who will also be a part of the World Cup, it's something they can use to measure themselves a bit knowing that Korea's players - many are based in the K-League in Korea, so similar to us in MLS," he told ussoccer.com.

"It's a pretty good team and Costa Rica already experienced that. They had absolutely no chance against them on Saturday. We get a nice benchmark there for the group that we have together now and then we go from there.

"The couple of months before the World Cup, everybody wants to set a tone, not only for themselves individually but as an entire group you want to get positive results wherever you can because that always helps the atmosphere around the National Team."
