Mexico put four goals past the USA in the CONCAF Gold Cup victory on June 25, but US stopper Tim Howard simply wants his team to win, not revenge. The two teams square off in an exhibition match on Wednesday at Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia.
"That was an important game for both sides. . . . But it's a new game. Anytime U.S. plays Mexico it's important and it's important for many different reasons. That's what rivalries are all about.
"I don't think anybody's going out looking for blood or revenge. It's U.S.A.-Mexico. It always has the same meaning and the same feel no matter when the game is played or what the circumstances are."
