Former USA national team star Eric Wynalda has hit out at New York Red Bulls strike Luke Rodgers after recent comments he made about Landon Donovan.
Ex-Notts County forward Rodgers said that LA Galaxy superstar Donovan whinges too much on the soccer pitch after a recent clash between the two clubs but Wynalda feels that perhaps the Englishman should concentrate on his game by keeping his own mouth shut.
"He's got a bad past, a coach that's taken a chance on him. He needs to just shut up and play,'' Wynalda told the NY Post.
"He's not bad when he's playing, but just shut up and play and he'll be fine.
"We all know where he came from and all his problems,'' Wynalda added.
"Don't do it again. Don't do it here, or you'll lose some fans,"
