USA have an extremely good chance of hosting the 2018 World Cup, especially if FIFA go with their rotation plan.

Recently, the event has been moved from continent to continent and if that system remains, then the US could emerge as a frontrunner to host.

The rotation policy would run in the US's favour according to FIFA president Sepp Blatter.

"(If) we go again in a rotation, after South America (Brazil 2014), there should be North America coming in," he said.

"That would be the normal way to go."
