USA coach Klinsmann high on Tottenham shortlist

USA coach Jurgen Klinsmann is being lined up by Tottenham to replace Harry Redknapp.

The Sunday Mirror says once the FA make their expected move for current boss Redknapp, Spurs will search for a summer replacement.

And Klinsmann has emerged as a target. The 47-year-old German is currently head coach of the United States team.

Klinsmann became an iconic figure at Spurs in his two spells as a player.

He stayed for one full season in 1994-95 when Tottenham reached the FA Cup semi-finals and then returned for a brief loan spell in 1998 when he helped the club steer of relegation.

He then worked with LA Galaxy in an executive role and then managed Bayern Munich before taking over as the coach of the US team last year.
