USA national team coach Jurgen Klinsmann has implored Juan Agudelo to prove he has what it takes to play at the top.

The 19-year old striker, who left New York Red Bull for Chivas USA a couple of weeks ago, has plenty of potential but Klinsmann feels it is now time he started to prove to everybody exactly what he is capable of.

“He has a lot of potential as we often discuss. Obviously it’s up to him, you know?” Klinsmann said on a conference call with reporters.

“It’s his preferred situation with that move to Chivas; now he’s got to prove it. He’s got to score goals, he’s got to play every game, and it’s now down to him to show everybody that he belongs within the (U.S.) team as one of the leading strikers in the US.”
