USA boss Klinsmann linked with Switzerland job

USA national team manager Juergen Klinsmann has emerged on the shortlist for the Switzerland role according to reports.

The German tactician has been earmarked as a possible replacement for Ottmar Hitzfeld following the 2014 World Cup according to Swiss daily Blick.

Klinsmann, who replaced Hitzfeld at Bayern Munich in 2008, is contracted to US Soccer for the World Cup in Brazil but could be swayed to move once the tournament is concluded.

Joining Klinsmann on the Swiss FA's hitlist is former FC Basel and Tottenham boss Christian Gross, ex-Hamburg manager Thorsten Fink, Switzerland U21 head coach Pierluigi Tami, Lazio's Vladimir Petkovic and Chelsea's Champions League-FA Cup double winning manager Roberto Di Matteo.
