USA Women's star Alex Morgan has become the first footballer in the world to reach 1million followers on Twitter.
The 23-year old striker, who has netted over 30 goals in just over 50 international appearances, is now the most followed footballer after becoming the first player in history to tick over one million hits.
"A million followers, really? It's amazing ... thanks to the best fans out there," she posted on the social networking site.
Morgan currently plays for Seattle Sounders Women after previous stints with the likes of California Storm, Pali Blues and Western New York Flash.
