US visit with Chelsea sold me on MLS - Cudicini

LA Galaxy goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini says a past visit to the USA helped him make his mind up about a move to MLS.

The 39-year old Italian toured the US with Chelsea back in 2000 and says that trip gave him further insight into the league he joined from Tottenham in December last year.

"I always thought it would be a good experience to come here after I came here with my first season with Chelsea," Cudicini told the club's official website.

"I loved the atmosphere, I love the sports culture in the US and I always thought that if I had a chance to come here then I would take it.

"That's what happened, [the offer came] in a moment where I wasn't that happy at Tottenham, so I think the two things are perfectly matching."
