US Soccer exploring possibility of national center in Kansas

The Associated Press reports that US Soccer and Sporting Kansas City are exploring the opportunity to build a national training center in Kansas.

The report says that the facility would be located in Wyandotte County, where SKC built its home stadium - Sporting Park - which opened in June 2011.

The US national team currently hold their training camps at Los Angeles' Home Depot Center in Carson but the Kansas venue, which is proposed at $50million, would serve as another home for US Soccer.
