Promising US duo Joel Sonora and Ryan Palmbaum admit they are thoroughly enjoying their time with Argentine powerhouse Boca Juniors.
17-year old Sonora is a Dallas-born attacking midfielder, who is the son of former Dallas Burn, DC United and Boca defender Diego, while 13-year old Palmbaum is a US U14 international winger who can also play centrally.
The pair are deeply entrenched in the Argentine way of life as they further their development with Boca and both are enjoying their time with the Buenos Aires giant.
Sonora recently spent time with Tab Ramos' US U20 side and suggested it was a worthwhile camp despite the fact he could be regarded as an outsider, being from an Argentine background.
"There is no conflict," Sonora told MLSsoccer.com. "I like the group; the organization is very good. The people in the United States support you, it helps a lot."
As for Palmbaum, he was initially involved at Estudiantes La Plata before Boca invited him out of a group of 5,000 youngsters.
"I'd been wanting to play for Boca for a long time," he said.
Both Sonora and Palmbaum will look to climb their respective ladders at La Bombonera as they fly the flag for American soccer in Argentina.
