Everton youngsters Jonjoe Kenny and Joe Williams are ready for a first team call, says U23 coach David Unsworth.

The Scouse pair has helped Everton to the verge of a Premier League 2 title this season.

“They're certainly ready and, if called upon, they won't let anyone down, I know that for certain," he told evertonfc.com. “Jonjoe's already had a little taste of it and Joe's been unlucky with injuries because he was the Under-23s' Player of the Season last season.

“He got injured towards the end of the campaign and had to spend the whole summer in rehab and then on his way back he got another little injury.

“He's just coming into his form again now and he's getting that opportunity, that break that he needs by being in and around the first-team lads.

“But they're another two off the production line who will be absolutely fine if called upon and they're both humble lads and very professional."
