Shaun Wright-Phillips is back in the good books at Manchester City after his derby performance.
The sparky little winger injected pace and width into City, and set up David Silva's equalising goal, after going on as a second half substitute in the 2-1 defeat at Old Trafford.
That came a fortnight after Wright-Phillips slapped in a transfer request and was being proffered to other clubs for a cut-price £4million, says the Manchester Evening News.
But the long-term injury to Adam Johnson has suddenly thrust Wright-Phillips, who had previously only played just over two hours of league football this season, into the reckoning.
And the positive response Roberto Mancini got has convinced the manager that the England man could still have a big part to play in the coming months.
