Unrest has affected things on the pitch - Blackburn's Dunn

Blackburn Rovers midfielder David Dunn believes off-field unrest has affected the results of the team this season.

The Ewood Park club sit 18th on the table following their 2-0 victory over Norwich City on the weekend but still face a relegation battle as they are three points behind Wigan Athletic and QPR who are in the safety zone.

Dunn suggests that the behaviour of some sections of the fans towards the players, manager Steve Kean and Indian owners Venky's has attributed to that mediocre performance this campaign but feels it would be huge if Rovers can beat the drop in the final few games.

"It hurts a lot. Everything around it hurts me," he said.

"There just seems to be unrest everywhere you look. But unfortunately that happens sometimes when things aren't going well.

"I think there have probably been too many changes in a short space of time and I think any club that makes that many changes would be affected.

"That goes from at the training ground to down at Ewood [Park]. But we've got to keep going."

He added: "But I do think that after everything we've had to put up with this year, and it's been so frustrating for everyone involved with the club, it would be a great achievement to stay up."
