Manchester City Women's FC have signed a four-year club partnership with Manchester Metropolitan University, reports www.sportspromedia.com/. The agreement will see the professional women's soccer club work with the university to offer bespoke football-focused education programmes.
Students from the university's events management course will be given exclusive access at the soccer club to experience the build up to and delivery of match day events during the programme.
The selected students will also have the opportunity to work alongside the Manchester City Women's operations staff to 'manage' a home fixture and take part in a MCWFC training session.
As part of the agreement, representatives from Manchester City Women will be invited to attend the university as guest speakers and at open days to share their knowledge and experiences with students.
