United States head Women's rankings

The United States will start the June Women's World Cup ranked number one in the world. Pia Sundhage's side top FIFA's list ahead of Germany, the tournament hosts, and Brazil in third.

Germany will be looking to claim their third successive World Cup title and kick off the tournament on June 26 with a match against Canada in Berlin.
