Djibril Cisse says he is annoyed at the uncertainty about his future and wants to sort it out as soon as possible.
The on-loan Sunderland striker is enjoying his time at the Stadium of Light and would like to remain at the club but only if they stay in the top flight.
The Frenchman has labelled his current situation as annoying.
"It is not just affecting me - I have family and children to think about," he told the Sunderland Echo.
"It is really annoying me, to be honest.
"I would like to know where I'm going to be next season but it is not me who decides. The board must make a decision.
"I know things have changed because the British currency is not as strong.
"We also still need to get points to make sure we stay in the Premier League - that's everyone's priority at the moment.
"It is no one's fault that the decision is not made but I still need to know."
