Korean club Ulsan Hyundai are interested in Newcastle Jets defender Antun Kovacic.
The 27-year old has been trialling with the K-League club for the past three weeks but it is unsure if a deal will be struck.
Jets owner Con Constantine said even if a deal was agreed on, the payment to this season's wooden spooners would not be great.
"It's peanuts," Constantine said of the deal.
"It's not a question of making money out of the boy. If he gets a start overseas, I would be more than happy for him.
"It's about giving him an opportunity. If it comes off, good luck to him."
Ulsan are set to clash with Newcastle in the first round of the Asian Champions League which would make Kovacic's potential move very interesting.
