David Cameron, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, has implored the Football Association to reconsider the price of their replica England shirts.
The FA have released the new Nike England national team kit, which is identical to what will be worn at the 2014 World Cup, at £90 per shirt.
Sports minister Helen Grant came out and said that selling the shirt for the aforementioned price was harsh on loyal England fans and Cameron has concurred.
"He does agree with Helen Grant. I'm sure all fans would welcome a rethink," said PM Cameron's spokesman at a Westminster media briefing.
"It is a matter for the manufacturers and the FA, but does he agree with Helen Grant that £90 is a great deal of money for a replica shirt?
"Absolutely. Would a rethink by the manufacturer be welcomed by all fans? I'm sure that would be the case."
