Seattle Sounders have confirmed the signing of midfielder Michael Azira.
The 26-year old Ugandan has joined the Sounders after impressing during a trial this winter where he started three of their six fixtures in preseason.
Born in Kampala, Azira attended Lindsay Wilson College and University of Mobile before playing with Mississippi Brilla in the USL Premier Development League and Charleston Battery in the USL PRO division.
"Michael is a versatile midfielder who can play outside back as well," said Sounders sporting director Chris Henderson in a statement.
"He's a consistent passer and positions himself well defensively. He is very calm on the ball and adds depth to both the midfield and the back four."
