UEFA president Platini questions Premiership foreign owners

UEFA president Michel Platini has criticised the number of foreign owners involved in the Premiership.

Several of the leading clubs in England, including Chelsea, Manchester United and England, are in foreign hands.

It has been claimed in the past that the Premier League could turn out to be 'a billionaires' playground'.

Platini feels that overseas investors are only interested in money and has voiced his concerns over the issue.

"At the moment there is something I dislike in England, and that is the massive arrival of foreign owners," he told Sky Sports News.

"It is not because of football, they want to invest in a product that exists with the prospect of reselling it at a better price in a few years."
