UEFA open probe against Roma over racist chants against Chelsea defender Rudiger

UEFA have opened an investigation against Roma over monkey chants from their fans aimed at Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger.

The London Evening Standard says UEFA on Friday charged the Italian club with racist behaviour after monkey chants are believed to have been directed toward former Roma defender Antonio Rudiger at Stamford Bridge.

Rudiger, who came on as a 77th-minute substitute in the Champions League Group C game on Wednesday, left Roma for Chelsea in the summer.

Following the incident, Uefa have confirmed that they will investigate a charge of racist behaviour in a Control, Ethics and Disciplinary hearing on 16 November.
