UEFA move quickly to charge Arsenal's Wenger and Nasri

UEFA have charged Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger and midfielder Samir Nasri with improper conduct over comments made to the referee in Tuesday's Champions League defeat to Barcelona. The Swiss official sent off Robin van Persie for a second yellow card for shooting at goal just one second after he had blown the whistle for offside - a decision the Arsenal striker described as a 'joke'.

At the final whistle, Wenger confronted Busacca and the conversation reportedly continued down the tunnel.

The Gunners boss claimed in his post-match press conference that UEFA officials were 'shocked' by Busacca's decision to dismiss Van Persie, but European football's governing body will wait before pursuing any case against Wenger.
