UEFA president Michel Platini told Celtic chief Peter Lawwell that every club in the Champions League wants to play them at Celtic Park.
Following the Round of 16 draw win Switzerland on Thursday in which the Hoops drew Juventus, Lawwell said that Platini and other UEFA chiefs were very complimentary of the Glasgow club.
"We have always been respected but it's more contemporary now. People are saying, 'Wow, Celtic are back'," he said.
"Everybody I spoke to in Nyon - from UEFA, the clubs - was absolutely delighted to see us back.
"I spoke to Michel Platini and he told me, 'Every club wants to play Celtic... for the right reasons.'
"They love Celtic. They want to go to Celtic Park and play us because of the friendliness and the type of club we are.
"I never spoke to Michel after we drew Juventus. He might have a different view now."
