UEFA have decided to let suspended Chelsea captain John Terry lift the Champions League trophy if they beat Bayern Munich next month.
The Blues skipper received a straight red card for a knee into the back of Alexis Sanchez as his side got through to the decider by beating Barcelona 3-2 on aggregate and will be ineligible for the May 19 final.
But Europe's governing body will allow Terry to join his teammates on the stand if they do happen to beat Bayern at the Allianz Arena.
"If Chelsea win the 2012 Uefa Champions League Final, John Terry will be allowed to lift the trophy and collect the medal," read a UEFA statement.
