Udinese striker Fabio Quagliarella has welcomed the surprise inclusion of Alessandro del Piero, of Juventus, and Sampdoria's Antonio Cassano in Italy's Euro2008 squad.

He said: "It is only right that there is so much competition for the attack in the national team, I will do everything possible to play, the presence of Del Piero and Cassano motivates me a lot."
