Udinese striker Antonio di Natale has been assured he remains in Italy coach Cesare Prandelli's plans.
Prandelli's assistant, Gabriele Pin, has been in contact with the striker to confirm that he is still a contender to make Euro 2012.
Di Natale has never been called up by Prandelli and hasn't played for his country since World Cup 2010.
Di Natale, the Serie A top scorer from the last two seasons, has netted 18 goals in 23 League appearances so far this term.
