Udinese striker Antonio di Natale struck his 200th goal in Serie A in his 400th game for their 1-1 draw with Chievo Verona.
Di Natale was talked out of retirement in the summer.
"It's a shame, as Chievo were organised and we had taken the lead, but they scored a great goal. Against such a tough team it's a good point.
"I want to thank all the teammates and Coaches I worked with over the years, my wife, my children and my parents who are watching me from up there," the 37-year-old told Sky Sport Italia.
Toto is now just five goals off Roberto Baggio's career tally of 205 in Serie A.
"Matching Baggio is my next objective, yes."
Di Natale had planned to retire over the summer, but was talked into continuing for one more campaign. Will he extend that career further?
"I have six months to think about it and will talk things over with the Pozzo family. Whatever happens, there won't be any problems."
