Udinese striker Antonio di Natale was delighted with his goal for Italy in their draw against Spain.

Di Natale admits he “still remembers” the penalty he missed against Spain in Euro 2008, so this was a special goal for him.

“I am happy, as after a few minutes I scored, Andrea (Pirlo) gave me a great pass and I did well to make the most of it,” he told Rai Sport after a 1-1 draw with Spain.

The Udinese striker was on the bench, but replaced Mario Balotelli and scored with his first touch.

“The Coach makes the choices and when I get the chance, I give my all.

“I still remember the penalty I missed against Spain, so that was particularly a great moment for me. Spain have wonderful champions, as do we, so it was a fascinating game.”
