Gaetano D'Agostino is disappointed to have left Fiorentina.
The midfielder's future was decided by a blind auction on Saturday when Udinese outbid the Viola for their 50 per cent share in the player.
"I'm saddened by how things went," he told Firenzeviola. "I was really hoping that Fiorentina would keep me.
"You all know how much I wanted to live in Florence, how much I wanted to end my playing career with the club.
"I'm disappointed for all the Viola fans too who showed me great affection. I don't feel sorry for sporting director Pantaleo Corvino or the club though "
