Udinese vice-president Gino Pozzo admits Mehdi Benatia is on the brink of moving to AS Roma.

The Morocco defender has been a target for Europe's biggest clubs.

"The negotiations with Roma for Benatia are at a fairly advanced stage. The player had already requested a transfer last year and we are trying to make him happy," revealed Pozzo.
