Udinese president Franco Soldati wants veteran striker Antonio di Natale to stay.
Di Natale is being linked with New York City FC.
"Totó is our emblem, I hope I can convince him to stay in Udine for many years," Soldati told Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli.
"Some of the offers we read of in the newspapers are real and well beyond our means.
"At the end of a player's career it's understandable that he should entertain certain thoughts, but I'm hoping what will prevail will be a sentiment of love for our club."
